Cavs fall to Pelicans in Summer League action

The Cleveland Cavaliers lost once again in Summer League action. This time, to the New Orleans Pelicans. The Pels took this one 99-78. It was pretty much a blowout for the whole game.

Naz Mitrou-Long, who has been outstanding during Summer League collected 19 points, three rebounds, two assists and a block. He shot 54.5% from the field ad 100% (3/3) from three point range. Malik Newman finished with 15 points, three assists and two rebounds. He shot 40% from the field and 50% from three point range.

Phil Booth finished with 13 points, two rebounds, an assist and a steal. He shot 40% percent from the field, and 50% from three point range. Marques Bolden also finished with 13 points, along with three rebounds. He shot 57.1% from the field.

The Cavs as a team overall shot 36.2% from the field, and 37.1% from three point range. The team had huge contributions from a lot of people, but as a team overall, they just couldn’t put it quite together against the Pelicans.

Darius Garland and Kevin Porter Jr. did not play once again.
