Cavs fall to the Timberwolves in first game of Summer League action

The Cleveland Cavaliers kicked off their summer league action in Las Vegas earlier Friday. They recently played in the Salt Lake City summer league. However, things did not go the Cavs way, as they fell to the Wolves 85-75.

The young guys came to play, especially Dylan Windler, who has been on a tear this week. He finished with 15 points, eight rebounds and three assists. He shot 46.2% from the field, and 20% from three point range.

Naz Mitrou-Long finished with 14 points, six rebounds and assists. He shot 36.4% from the field, and 20% from three point range. The next highest guy was JaCorey Williams, who finished with 10 points and six rebounds. He shot 62.5% from the field.

Overall, the Cavs shot 40.6% from the field, and 25% from three point range. The young players continue to impress, even if it does not result in wins. As long as the players improve, that is that should matter at this point.

Darius Garland and Kevin Porter Jr. have not played in any summer league action as of yet.
