Rated by Pro Football Focus as the fifth best cornerback last year, Byron Jones spearheaded the Cowboys secondary aiding the defense in finishing seventh in total defense, points allowed and big plays allowed. If given a second glance only makes you wonder, what would the Cowboys defense look like without him? Jones has the ability to play both corner and safety, and provides a valuable piece of flexibility barring any injury in the secondary.
The fourth year corner is set to cash in big in 2020 but will need to put together another elite performance to prove he’s worth top 10 corner money. As Jones prepares to audition for the 31 other teams in the NFL the Cowboys could sure use his shutdown ability for another season.
