Picks: 1. Kyler Murray, 33. Chris Lindstrom, 37. Amani Oruwariye
I’m predicting a pre draft trade that will send Josh Rosen to the Giants. While I’m not sure what it would take to land him, pick 37 will most likely be involved. Kyler Murray’s biggest knock has been his height, but Kliff Kingsbury has made his love for Murray public, he’s the best QB in this draft, and he fits Kliff’s scheme wonderfully. The Offensive line was terrible last year which lead to the majority of Rosen’s troubles, Lindstrom will go a long way towards fixing that problem for Murray. Amani is a big corner that is more than capable of holding down which ever sideline that Patrick Peterson isn’t covering.
Picks: 14. Brian Burns, 45. Jeffrey Simmons
The Falcons need help all along the trenches, Offensive Lineman is definitely a possibility, but if the Falcons could land Brian Burns and Jeffrey Simmons, their Defense will be special for a long time. Brian Burns’ biggest fault in his game was his size, but he proved at the combine that he could add weight and still bend. He got up to 249 and still lit up the drills. Simmons is a special player who will be a dominant DT in the NFL for a long time. A recently torn ACL and a past incident with him violently breaking up a fight with his sister and another woman, are the only reasons he falls out of the top 10.
Picks: 22. Garrett Bradbury
The Ravens are going to see a LOT of full boxes this year with Lamar Jackson at QB and no real passing game to mention, if they want to have any success on offense, they need to take an Offensive Lineman early. Garrett Bradbury is the best interior lineman in this draft and will help out immediately.
Picks: 9. Ed Oliver, 40. Deebo Samuel
The Bills did a really good job of quietly filling needs along the Offensive Line and elsewhere. Now they can afford to take the best player available. Ed Oliver definitely fits the BPA bill. He’s the 2nd best player on my board and is a great fit with the Bills. Deebo earned his nick name from being a bully off the field, but it definitely translates on the field. He is a true Alpha, that will intimidate corners, make contested catches, and excells in the NFL. Josh Allen will be very happy.
Picks: 16. D.K. Metcalf, 47. Greg Little
We all know the Panthers like drafting big recievers early, see Kelvin Benjamin and Devin Funchess. Those guys didnt work out as planned, but the third time is the charm. D.K. has what the other guys didnt have, elite speed to go with his large frame. Greg Little should give Cam, some much needed cushion whenever he comes back.
Sorry Bears fans, you get no picks until the back of the third. I would feel bad for you, but there’s something about the countless death threats Cody Parkey got(for missing a tipped kick) that just rubs me the wrong way.
Picks: 11. Devin Bush, 42. Will Grier
The Bengals picks feature a very predictable move, and one of the drafts biggest surprises. They have a huge hole at Line Backer that the speedy, sideline-sideline LB, Devin Bush will jump into with ease. This is about where I expect that 2nd tier of QB’s to go. Will Grier has steadily moved up draft boards, and gives the Bengals a talented QB to groom behind Dalton. Andy has been good, probably deserves some more time, but I’m not sure he’s capable of putting the team on his back and bringing a Lombardi to Cincinnati. I say give Andy one more year and if he fails, pass the torch to Grier.
Picks: 49. Justin Layne
Cleveland put themselves back on the map by trading pick 17 for Odell Beckham Jr. Fortunately for them, they still have pick 49 to work with and one of the drafts top corners fall right into their lap. Denzel Ward has been great, but the Browns still need help on the other side of the field. Justin Layne has the size, quickness, and the ball skills to be great. While he’s not the best in run support, he is quick to react to the ball and a very good cover corner.
Picks: 58. Amani Hooker
Amani fills a hole the Cowboys have had for years. He’s not the most athletic safety, but he’s very smart and instinctive on the field. He excels in zone coverage and will do wonders to help the Cowboys defend against Ertz, Geodert, Reed, Davis, and Engram 6 games a year.
